Affiliate & Advertising Disclosure

ToolHund is independent. Here's exactly how we make money, and how we keep that separate from what we recommend.

How we make money

ToolHund is currently free to use. Revenue today comes from three sources — none of which change our editorial rankings:

  • Affiliate links. Many outbound links to AI tools include an affiliate tag. When you sign up or pay, we may earn a commission — at no extra cost to you.
  • Sponsored placements. Tools can pay to appear in clearly marked "Sponsored" or "Featured" slots. These never change a tool's ToolHund Score or category ranking.
  • Newsletter sponsorships. One sponsor per issue, disclosed at the top of the email.

There is no ToolHund Pro subscription today. Every feature — comparisons, AI Advisor, alerts, exports and the full directory — is available at no cost. See ToolHund is free.

Editorial firewall

Rankings, ToolHund Scores, reviews, and AI Advisor recommendations are generated from the same public data and methodology for every tool — paid or not. Advertisers can't see or influence them. If we ever feature a tool because we were paid, it will say Sponsored on the card.

Where you'll see disclosures

  • Every outbound "Visit tool" button uses rel="nofollow sponsored noopener noreferrer".
  • Sponsored cards carry a visible "Sponsored" badge.
  • Newsletter ads are labelled "Sponsored by …" at the top of the section.

Our promises to readers

  • Some outbound links may be affiliate links.
  • ToolHund may earn a commission if users purchase through partner links — at no extra cost to you.
  • Affiliate partnerships never change ToolHund Score.
  • Sponsored placements are labeled.
  • We do not sell rankings.
  • We prioritize relevance, pricing transparency, usefulness and editorial quality.
